I Commit To Green Project – How we got there
In April 2007, I watched Diane Sawyer host the 20/20 special Planet Earth, Seven Ways to Help Save the World. As the program opened with a montage of human-caused destruction to animal habitats around the world, I was immediately captivated. Inspired to help improve the environment, I began researching information on transportation, recycling, and energy in an effort to understand how my everyday actions impact the planet. Thus, I started “I Commit To Green™”, as a way to educate and inspire others to lessen their negative impact on the earth and strive to preserve the environment.
So far we have one feature product, our first edition of the RecycleList™, developed from my research, can be used in homes, apartments, restaurants, offices, and schools, and while camping or traveling. It can be given away as party gifts, wedding presents, business promotions, and much more. For each sale of products from I Commit To Green, a donation to my favorite charity — the North Shore Animal League no-kill animal adoption and rescue organization — will be made. My hope is that I Commit To Green inspires you to be part of the solution and help your community and ultimately the planet.
