TiVo Premiere – Works on Comcast, Time Warner, Dish Network, DirectTV, and many more!
Similar to Miranda in Sex in the City, I love my TiVo. Coming home and curling up with the remote and hearing that familiar beep is so comforting.
Being a TiVo junkie and techie geek, I am thrilled about the new generation of TiVo DVRs, TiVo Premiere ($299.99), which mixes what was good about the TiVo HD and adds a high-definition (720p) interface and a 320GB hard drive, allowing about 45 hrs of HD programming so I can now record all of my favorite programs with ease and not worry about programs being deleted. The TiVo Premiere XL ($499.99) offers even more space with 150 hours of HD recording. These Series4 DVRs have better and broader search capabilities with integrated online features. They finally have video playback in the background during search and the 30-second skip has been greatly improved. The box is more compact and the hardware is faster.
The Premiere box must still be purchased and subscription fees are the same, along with still needing a CableCARD for cable hookup but being a current customer, it is not unfamiliar to me. TiVo has a variety of upgrade programs that might be suitable for you if you are a current customer.
I have always loved the easy-to-use, elegant gateway to TV and online video and audio entertainment. The remote control is logical and finding programs and recording is so quick and easy. As a TiVo enthusiast I am in love with the new technology and still love hearing that beep! Are you with me Miranda?
